Meet at Oak Bay Municipal Hall, 2167 Oak Bay Avenue
- For three years, this community has been reeling from the Province's decision to privatize 28,000 ha of TFL land for their buddies at Western Forest Products.
- The CRD parks committee has just stated its intention to buy as much of this area as they can afford, and the University of British Columbia wants to buy all the remaining land for research and teaching purposes, but Ida Chong and the rest of the Liberals are refusing to help!
On Tuesday March 23, we will be rallying at the Oak Bay Municipal hall to say thank you to Mayor Chris Causton (chair of the CRD parks committee) for this historic purchase. Then we'll move across the street to thank Ida Chong for doing absolutely nothing to help our community solve this problem.

- Letter-writing campaign: - Where are Ida and Murray?
- UBC expressed interest in purchasing a large portion of that land for teaching and research purposes, but the province is blocking the proposal by refusing to extend their borrowing limit. Some of this land is up for sale right now to private developers so the government needs to act quickly.
